HF TAGs

Near Field Communication (NFC) is a short-range, wireless connection standard that provides contactless communication and data exchange between compatible devices in close proximity. A subset of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, NFC operates at a frequency of 13.56 MHz and provides secure data transmission at a range of approximately 10 centimeters.

How Does an NFC Tag or Card Work?

NFC-enabled devices can be active or passive. Active devices, like smartphones, can both send and receive information. These devices can communicate with each other and with passive devices. Passive NFC devices, such as tags, have no power source of their own and can only send information to other NFC devices. While the NFC transaction is limited to close range communication, it includes a range of NFC applications that provide value and convenience to users.

What is an NFC Tag/Card Used For?

NFC devices are ideal for applications such as access control, consumer electronics, shipping, payments, healthcare services, data collection, data exchange, coupons,

and ticketing, among others. Similar to NFC, HF operates at the same 13.56 MHz frequency. However, despite this similarity, HF does not provide a secure data exchange like NFC HF.

HF can be used for various applications such as product authentication, supply chain management, asset management, and ticketing/stored value. HF typically has an average read range of 20-70 centimeters.

We regularly update and add RFID products to our website; however, if you cannot find a specific HF (ISO 15693), NFC (Ntag 213-216) product, we want you to know that we can provide it for you. You can contact us for support.
