What to Know about RFID System
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology is a method of recognising objects as singular and plural using radio frequency.
RFID Tags
RFID tags are divided into three categories: passive, semi-passive and active.
Passive tags are the most cost-effective tags. Passive tags do not have their own power sources. They work with the power of RFID readers. These tags, which are the cheapest, are the most widely used tags. The vast majority of RFID systems are created with passive tags. It has a very wide range on a sectoral basis.
Semi-passive tags work with a small battery. They have a wider reading area than passive RFID tags. They are also more reliable and their reaction speed is much higher. They respond more quickly to RFID readers. They do not work alone with the small battery on them. They need to receive a signal from the RFID reader in order to communicate.
Active tags, unlike other tags, have their own power sources. Therefore, they have very high performance but their cost is much higher. Power supplies activate the circuits of the chip and the communication process with the RFID reader starts. The rfid antenna provides the communication. Reading distances vary according to frequency.
RFID Reader
RFID reader is a hardware required for the operation of the RFID system. They are devices that transmit and receive radio waves to communicate with RFID tags. RFID tags contain microchips and antennas. RFID readers communicate with RFID tags with electromagnetic waves. As a result of this communication, RFID readers convert the data they receive into digital data and transfer them to the computer. They are divided into three as fixed RFID readers, handheld (mobile) RFID readers and integrated RFID readers.
Fixed RFID Readers
It is called RFID readers that stand fixed in a certain position. They are usually designed with two, four or eight ports. They consist of two, four and eight antenna ports. Mostly fixed RFID readers communicate with Ethernet cable. There are also fixed readers that communicate with Wi-Fi. RFID Fixed Readers offer consistency in high performance. RFID Readers provide the user with the powerful functionality needed to quickly launch a successful RFID system. RFID Reader is a radio frequency transmitter and receiver. RFID Readers can read an RFID tag and write information to it.
Handheld (Mobile) RFID Readers
The RFID reader and RFID antenna are integrated in a mobile device. They mostly include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. There are also versions with barcode reader. They are readers designed for situations with mobility. They are suitable devices for situations where mobility is needed. With their industrial designs, they are designed in accordance with most sectoral solutions. RFID Mobile Readers offer consistency in high performance as well as the functionality required to quickly launch a successful rfid system. Portable or mobile RFID readers can be installed or transported almost anywhere.
Integrated RFID Readers
RFID Integrated Readers combine an RFID reader and RFID antenna in a single device. They are built with a built-in antenna added to rfid readers. Integrated RFID readers are suitable for low-cost solutions with their affordable prices. They can also support additional external RFID antennas. It is a great way to quickly start an RFID project. The reader is a radio frequency transmitter and receiver and can read and write an RFID tag.
